Let me just say that my 810 with 500+ hours is alot more reliable than my 7.3 powerstroke pushing it:headwall

Have 8 Blizzards out running and no problems other than a bad ground on one. 2 of which are our own personal - one 8' and one 810.:D

Gotta love em and WOW what a time saver that 810 is!:cash

PS. one is Becks;)

Reed why replace the plow after only 4 yrs. Just wondering. I know I expect more than 4 yrs of service from my plows.

My 810 is coming up on 100hrs,its been excellent. the 810 is a monster, gotta love the time saved.
Dino I like to replace my plows every 3-4 yrs too.Im going to replace the Western MVP next season, its on its 3yr yr and as you know the a frame isnt exactly straight ,and the truck side mount just about tore off the truck, already.Ive braced it and reinforced it,It still isnt very beefy,IMO.I use my plows pretty hard,so its cheap insurance. I feel that the time saved by going with a more productive, better scraping plow will offset the money laid out to upgrade it. I feel in our business time is even more important that in most.If we can get done 3 hrs sooner thats that much more work we can take and money to make.So i feel upgrading pays for itself,as long as you buy more efficient equipment.I wouldnt upgrade with the same thing unless the repairs needed on the old one made it wise to buy a new one and sell off the old one as is.

the new ones are so much more improved . i have two wing cylynders and new only one, fewer hoses and improved jack stand . not very critical i know but just feel i may be better off upgrading. plan to keep this one as spare and have anouther for parts . got t boned with that one bent a wing and broke a cylynder. welded it and bent wing back close and kind of go as new. but still just a parts plow.

Dino I am taking 5 year old plows and replacing them, absolutlly nothing wrong with the plow, just replacing them with time saving BLIZZARDS.........

GET WIDE

OK lets quit preaching the time savings so the compatision don't know about it, this way we can stick an extra $1000 or so a truck in our pockets and not the other guys on the road.....

Mine has been flawless until this last time out. It started rising very slowly, all other functions maintained the same speed. I got the dealer on the nextel , who advised me the intake screen on the resevoir was maybe the problem. In fixing that, I cracked the plastic intake in the tank. It was replace by the dealer the next day, and back in service. No down time, simply a little slower than I preferred for the last hour of that night.

I am very satisfied so far. I wont go back....

The other one we own is a "new" 2002 model, with the old 8 hose system/pump, etc. It has worked fine, but has had a leak for a couple weeks that they cannot seem to get fixed. It needs to have a quart or two of fluid added each shift, but has still got the job done.

These two plows probably have 75-100 hrs on them so far.

The upgrade to the newest year model, with fewer hoses and upgraded cylinders, makes sense to me. It is faster, and that alone in my book makes it a good upgrade. Besides, the used Blizzards seem to hold their value here locally, so I dont mind selling a plow of any kind after a couple seasons, and replacing it with the "newest and best " !

Tom,

I am the same why when it comes to equipment. I am going to sell my V box I just purchased this year in order to put a dump insert in the new F-350. Also looking to add a 810 to my F-450 and moving the MVP to the F-350. Sometimes you just have to keep up with with the business demands for changes.

Gald yo hear the Blizzard to treating you well.

Ron, Don't make the mistake several F450 owners here did. Put the 8611 on now. Time savings over the 810 is well worth the extra $$.

Reed or anyone with an old or damaged jack stand assembly, You can order an upgrade kit to replace the old pull pin or the single small pin style stand. It comes with a new end plate to weld on ( we cut it out around the pivot bolt instead of removing the bolt ) and a new jack stand with the large pin ( 5/8 or 3/4" ). You will have to grind a little off the end of the pin so it doesn't hit the old plate.

These are all new parts from production that can be added to the existing plows from the 99 model on to present.

Tom, Glad to hear your enjoying the change of colors.....Bled red myself for years.

Oh how about adding this one to the list of running units.

( oops the darn things are so big the file won't load guess I'll have to shrink them down a little so I can post it )

It has about 300 hrs on it. Was a protoype 810 single cyl. Lent it to everyone who wanted to try it last year. Just put a new set of edges on it at the beginning of the year.

The 8611 sitting there is my standard plow. Sold off all of the other 810's including the demo's and all but one loaner. Guess there value is in the gutter as far as demand....LMAOROF

Moisture is starting to show up inside my driver turn signal lense.
If it snows I will probably still go out and plow.:D
