I have 2 unimount 7.5 western plow, and I noticed on both plows the motor unit wobbles. Is that normal, does it need a little play. But it seems to shake to much. When I grab the unit with my hand it will shake left to right. I was wondering do I need to tighten the bolts from the bottom and from the top. The plows are 4 years old have plowed quite a bit.
Please respond
Thanks

Mine shakes a little also from side to side. I think its normal, unless its excessive. You can tighten it up some, but leave some play in there so it can move freely when you raise or lower the plow. You cannot tighten the bolt and nut completely, it needs some room to move. Mike

You guys scared me for a minute, thought you were talking about just the electrical motor on the pump. There should be some play in the unit, make sure to check for wear at both holes in the lift arm (especially at the rear of the list arm) and cracks at the mounting lugs on the bottom of the power unit.
