Hi Guys, first post here. Has anyone had any experience with the Snowsport? I saw it at http://www.truckandquad.com/products/vehicle-products/plows-accessories/snowsport-hd-utility-plows/snowsport-hd-utility-plow-package.html

Looks to be in my budget, but I don't want to a piece of junk, so I was hoping someone has actually used one or knows someone with one. I just want to plow my driveway and maybe help out some neighbors here and there.

Thanks!

What will you be putting this on? How big is the driveway? What kind of surface?

The general concensus is that they're an oversized shovel, not much more than that. If you plan on anything more than occasional use on your own property, I'd consider something a little heavier duty. They may work fine the first few times on a smooth surface, until you hit something under the snow... There are some decent lightweight plows made by western, fisher, blizzard, snow-way, meyer, and curtis that will run circles around those little snowsport plows, and will stand up to repeated use and abuse. Again, this all depends on what you're plowing, and what you'll be putting the plow on...

Plus being unable to lift the plow ( unless you want to get out every time you back up ) will pull the snow you just pushed, back into your drive.

For 1500 bucks you could get a big start on a used plow that would take more abuse and end up with a better job.

It does work and it might be right in your situation but getting out of a nice warm truck and trying to lift that plow by hand with packed snow on it would get real old REAL FAST !!!

Keep asking questions and do some searches.
