On 8/31 I placed an order with CPW for a new cutting edge and shoes.
On Sept 24 I received a response to my request for status and they said the parts were backordered and would be in within 2-3 days.
In mid Oct I called and was told that they weren't in yet, and since it was a web order I would get an email when it shipped.
Is it common for CPW to be rude to clients, as they were when I called, not give any straight answers and have such big delays in getting the parts they've sold?

Maybe they're waiting until after you're past 60 days so you cant reverse the charge when they ship you the wrong thing... :bestme
I've never ordered from CPW, but this time of year I think everyone's kinda slow on plow parts, nature of the beast when we all wait til sept/oct.

I buy from them and yes they are rude.
It gets even worse after they have to deal with everyone coming in as the snow starts flying to get parts/repairs for tonights snow.
I can understand that, but they are rude in general. I don't even like the fact that you have to be registered to buy from them online. WHY??? So they can send you email ads for stuff you don't want?
I've bought from them for the past two years with no problems but this year it takes two tries to get my orders right each time. I like them because I get my parts next day because they are so close. i ordered a new cylinder tube for my E-60, told them the size and they still sent me the 1-3/4" upgrade tube, when i told them I needed the 1-1/4" tube. Now its on back order for another 1 1/2 weeks. I order a master seal kit and two of the seals were not in the bag, i called them and the rude sob on the other end said that those were not included. But... they will give them to me for free if i paid the shipping. They charged me $16.00 to ship two o-rings. I could have mailed them in a letter envelope with a postage stamp.

Angelos plays the same deal on shipping too, I've bought parts from them that ended up costing more shipping and handling than the part cost. But if ya need it, you got to have it.

yea i just got done dealing with them. dont think i'll buy there again.
I ordered a top screen for my snowex 575. well first they send me one for the 1075. Then they charge me for the second one, the correct one, before they refund my money. Saying it will be done when they get it back.
And to top it off. The screen wont even fit my spreader. I have an older 575 and dont have the lip for the screen to sit on. Hell they didnt ask me if i had an older one or a newer one. THis pives me

I've had good service from Angelos, just wish I could make purchases in person vs internet/phone/etc.

Had some problems also. Bought 2 plows in January from them nice as heck... Until the Fisher center pin broke in half and busted both rams, then they just where not so nice. And to make matters worse our local dealer is giving up the Fisher line any sell Westerns since the shipping is cheaper... Love the Fisher line but need a good dealer. I am still waiting for the local guy to get me prices on a new plow from January.. I think they are a little SLOW..

I have pretty much gave up on them. Rude and don't seem to care unless it is a big order and even then....
The only thing is if you know the part numbers and can wait for the stuff sometimes the price is worth it. Otherwise I'll buy from the dealer if i can find one.. It just amazes me that Western Plows are made here but not a good dealer to be found.
