Bring it on!! I love this stuff. Been out quite a bit lately and quite frankly I am enjoying my self. Even get to do some realtor accounts on the off days. NO rush on these sites and the best part is Im still out plowing! :D
Just think chevyguy next week could be dry. Lets take what we can get, have some fun and make some loot.

Oh ya just caught the 5pm news down graded to 2-4 now for the city, lets hope the lake can kick it up a notch and give us 2 pushes from this thing.

We recieved between 2" to 3" from Glenview to Glencoe, on average. Nice storm, but we are running out of room to put snow. Going to have to write letters to customers explaining that driveways will be getting narrower, from now on. As of now, we are pulling all snow out to the street and tucking the corners, making for alot of extra work.

Got an honest 2 in Lake Forest. Most of the commercials we do have been relocateing the piles for us and now there getting pissy about were we stack the snow. I do sub so Im not sure how they bill for this allthough Im sure its probally just a little cheaper then skidsteers moving the snow back on the lots. The mobils we do on 94 seem to still have a little room left. Chuck, I think in your letter to the customers you may want to offer skidsteer service as an option at say 90 an hour, 2 hour minimum. Cover your travel time, pay for the machine, pocket a few bucks, and not piss everyone off over the price. You wont get rich but the sites will be stacked and you will have a little room for the 12 more inches we still need to get.:D

Kind of funny, I just sold my 2001 75XT last week, so I will have to rent one this time around. How would you go about charging/quoting each home owner, when you dont know how long it will take to service. Keep in mind I have over 100 driveways that probably need the service.

I was thinking of charging $70.00, as a flat fee for everyone that calls back.

Your probally not out of line at that rate Chuck. It seems fair and not out of line to me. The only exception to this is if you need to use a 6 wheeler to do some hauling. If your customers have a problem with the price, you will have to let them know you are running out of room to put the snow. The city will not tolerate snow falling off your piles or actually in the street. I know Lake Forest blew us some @*%# on one comercial before the loader came threw and pushed back the piles. Also make sure you have a decent operator running the machine or It could end up costing you in landscape damage.
