this is my first thread,so here goes. i want to get a mega plow, but im afraid that it wont be ready and or arrive before the snow does. i owned a boss v, and a snoway mt. i still cannot believe how impressed i have been with my snoway. this is why i would like 2get one.second problem is that there are no dealers in the metro detroit area,i will have 2go 2 flint. can anybody help expedite the delivery of this? and should i wait to the last minute? i am a small co. in the irrigation bus. [only 26 years now] but i have alot of friends who also would like to get a dealer to service and or sell snoway closer than 1.5 hours away. prior to this when ford changed body styles i waited till march the next year to get a promised mount. i dont want to change plow manufacturers. can someone please get snoway to help.

MegaBlade products will begin shipping to retailers this Wednesday. I don't handle MI but here is a link that will take you to our retailer listing for Michigan.

They'll begin shipping this week, but who knows how many will be available for purchase and how many are already spoken for... IMO, this is not the year to buy a first year product. With everyone and their brother expecting "a big snow year" and the lack of any evidence of the megablade having been tested in real world plowing situations, I'd sit this year out and think about it again next year. No mention of the fact that you may have snow on the ground before you can get one of these things... If you've got customers depending on you, I think it's a bad idea to wait for one. Here, we dont get much before thanksgiving, but everyone's ready to push by 11/1 so they dont get caught with their pants down on an early snow... :wink

As mentioned the MegaBlade products will begin shipping tomorrow to both distributors and retailers. We still have product to sell at the factory level so there should not be a problem getting a plow if you want to make the purchase now. That being said we will reach a point where availability could become a problem.

My best advice would be to see your retailer ASAP if you are looking to buy for this season.

As a side note...........no member of this site has run or tested any of these products. I can assure you that the products have been field tested by both our R&D department and also professional contractors over the last 2 seasons. The videos on our website are raw R&D footage and are short to make sure that all those that want to view them don't have long loading issues. I have DVD's available with longer videos available to anyone that is interested in getting a copy. PM me with a mailing address if interested in a copy and I will have one sent out to you.

Let me rephrase my statement, to the thousands of members here on LTS, has anyone seen a megablade either plowing or just being driven around on the road during a snow storm? :beatsme

I remember several posts before the release of the DDizzards of "sightings", cant say the same for the megablade. Where were they being tested?

Tom'

What most here are thinking is and to be fair to the other plow companys short load speed on vids with no snow is pretty lame. ''

John Murphy endured a 15 page plus thread of lashing on the XLS with a full company web page and production made vids, there plows premiered in the NTEA show the spring of last year not the summer.

I had the XLS on a bet setting in the shop parking lot mounted and ready to plow on Oct 1st last year it would take a winter like last with a record number of pushes for the XLS to deserve the right to be accepted from people who are everyday plowers just wanting a striaght scoop on something.

I have been a Alpha and Beta tester for new products and i think honeslty it takes a public review for a new piece to be honored.

I tryed all summer to make this point. Back when i really wasnt sure what i was gonna do about plowing this year and showed serious intrest in the Rev i was told Sept for a Sterling mount the plows are shipping today? To me it seems rushed to production which i think leads people to question the testing aspects you state. Just trying to be honest with you every time i make a post about the Rev i always say it looks like it could be poss a good plow i didnt give that statement to John Murphy until 49 plow runs last year were made with the XLS so trust me you have been given alot of latitude.

To me i will no longer refer to the XLS has a DDizzard it earned its right to be called a Fisher Power plow.

I'm trusting Snoway's R and D, just as I trust John Deere's when I buy a first year air cart or new model combine. Snow blades aren't rocket science and this isn't the first blade Snoway has built, so that's why I bought one. Can't wait for the first storm, so I can go get coffee with it.;)

I dont want to hear you crying about the first rock chip Dave! :wink

Yup, the mega should work out great for you! Nothing like an oversized grille guard on the coffee gitter... My blade's got customers relying on it, so I'll wait til next year before I pass judgement on it. The tried and true lopro will continue to soldier on for the upcoming season.

I'm not gonna sit here and bash the megablade, I'm actually rather interested in it, just wanted to make the point that someone who only has a few trucks/plows may want to wait until its a bit more proven. A company with dozens of plows wont take nearly the hit in terms of service to it's customers when a first year product is in the shop.

Not a totally new product. The hydraulics, wiring and light system have beeen in service for awhile. I'm sure there be a bug or two but if SW holds true to their history they'll be minor and quickly solved.

Just don't trust first year anything....

No plow company has tested anything in my environment. -35 temps, trucks loaded up to 20,000lbs, Snow season from October 1 till April 15, crappy asphalt, 250"++ snow a year, Storms that exceed 40", AND 120 miles away from the nearest STOCKING dealer that is over two mountain passes....
