I am changing my 7'6" Rt3 straight blade from my 97 Chevy 1/2 to my 05 Chevy 1/2 ton. I found an undermount frame used from an '06 Chevy. I am wondering how you re-attach the skid plates underneath using the existing holes and bolts. Nothing seems to match up. Also, how much of the plastic bumper do I have to cut away? Does anyone have a picture of their front bumper on an '05 1/2 ton? Are the tow hooks going to be in the way? Lastly, is the 15 1/2 inch measurement to the center of the pin holes critical? I have it at about 14 1/2 but was thinking I should move it up one hole on the mount.

First off YES.... the 15.5 inches is critical to getting the plow on and off easily and for keeping the attack angle correct for the blade. Move it.... If you call Boss @ 906-776-3500 They will fax you an undercarriage manual that will answer your questions. Here is an illustration to take a gander at. I looked today and did not have an undercarriage for your truck so I could notscan the instructions. They will clearly tell you what you need to remove.
