View Full Version : 93 altima clutch pedal sticking on floor....
Need some advice please. 93 Altima, 5 speed. My son called today and said his clutch pedal was staying on the floor when he released it. This started just a couple of times on the way to work this am, and got progressively worse on the way home. I'd like to be looking at it as I ask, but he lives 45 minutes away so I'm just going off what told me.
IIRC this is a hydraulic clutch system (?). If this is the case, I'm wondering if the master cylinder (?) may have gone out. I've never worked on one of these before so I guess it's time to get some learnin.
Thanks,
Steve

Its a Hydro system the master or slave could have failed you can rule out mech because the pedal would be hard not to the floor if the presure plate had failed.
Any more Steve its better just to buy a prebleed master/slave combo saves trying to teach you how to bleed a clutch on here :D J/k Clutch systems bleed way diff than brakes.....

Thanks Fred. That makes sense now that I did a little more digging on some auto forums last night. I think I've got a fair understanding of what I'm looking at.
Just to confirm my suspicion, I posted the identical question on that forum to see which would supply information first. Still waiting on the other site. I guess that's probably why I ask lots of questions on here!
Thanks again
