I need a vehicle light wiring harness for my 03 Chevy. The dealer has two that will work, however they said that one is notorious for frying the computer in the vehicle, but I can't find anybody that has heard of this before. I was just wondering if anybody has heard of this or experienced this problem. The one that supposedly causes the problems is half the price of the new one. If it helps the one that they said has problems is a plow harness p/n 99100197 with an adapter kit p/n 99100411. The one that they reccommend is a plow harness p/n 99100529 with an adapter kit 99100592. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go with the 99100529 and 99100592. That is the light harness and adapter recommended by our engineering department for 2003 and later. If you go to our website, you can find the names of other retailers to check for competitive pricing. We appreciate you being a Sno-Way customer. Thanks for your business.

I believe that rick is giving you the numbers for the new style light harness. If he's not I'd suggest making the change to that style. It requires new lights ( sealed plugs on the new models ) but it's well worth it in the long run. The new cross over system eliminates all relays for the lighting install and is a simple to install and use harness and light combo.

No Rick gave you the right numbers, they are the upgrade harness for the old style lights. The newer trucks need the 529/592 and two relays. your dealer is correct.
