Last season I noticed that when I lowered my Snowman backplow it would create the downforce but as soon as I released the button it seemed to slack off some . I also noticed the scrapping action was not as good . What do I want to check ? I believe it has a Fenner pump .

If I had to guess:huh. There probably is a pressure relief valve. They probably have the relief set to light. Check and see if you have a PRV and try adjusting it to give you a little more down pressure.
I am not very familiar with Snoman, but offering my 2 pennies.:popcorn2

Bill the motor runs for a couple parts of a second after you let go of the switch. Motor lift is default without a valve tripped. Down is motor and valve. Since the valve closed and the motor is still making a couple of turns before stopping ( reason for soft stop on west and fisher hand held controls and Meyer touch pads ) the plow lifts. Anyone with an older snoway has the same issue.
Fix is to cut motor then valve or add a push button and and or switch combo with a relay that will also allow for float action.:wink
