rpm tach wiring

hey guys on my 78 k10 my rpm tach has never worked,ive never gave time to fix it but i cant find in any of my manuals a wiring diagram were to hook it up,the wire from the tach to the fuse box is hooked up just need help out the firewall!!

The tach wire is a separate feed out through the firewire,it comes through it's own grommet,below the master cylinder.Manual shows it as a white wire,but most of the ones I have seen are brown,or green.It connect to the distributor cap,just in front of the BATT feed wire.

If that doesn't fix it,let me know,we can trace the rest of the wiring.

yeah i found a brown wire that was cut ill give it a try!
