I have a 2002 chevy s-10 with the zr2 off road package which consists of larger axles and a high output 4.3 v-6 I currently plow with an 84 chevy suburban that I only use during the winter for plowing but it seems like every year I have to dump more and more money into that money pit!! I was thinking about buying a poly blade and a unimount and putting it on my S-10. I plow with a contractor and we always start plowing at 1 inch of snow so we're not moving large quanities of snow what do you guys think? Will my S-10 be ok?

You have to remember that the zr2 sits 3-5 inches higher than a standard s-10. Make sure that you wont a a issue with the angle of attack before you get everything else done. I know that a western/fischer suburbanite/homesteader wont work and the uni-mount only has about 3 inches of adjustment available in the "lugs" where the plow pins to the mount.

Crash.........You are right about the Z=r2 ! There was a thread
here recently from someone who had a plow (Western? ) that
wouldn't lower enough !
The fella had to cob/fab a extention on the ram so it would
lower enough BUT then it wouldn't raise high enough !
Remember it?

Had the same problem with a install, we were going to fab the receivers to sit lower but the customer didnt want to pay for it so we didnt do the install. You cant just take some tubing and lower the mount, part of the mount fits between the frame and sway bar and through the tow hook bolt holes if its a western/fisher.
