Well I have needed a new one for way too long. I have had the new one sitting on the shelf for way too long too. Finally did it yesterday. Only took about an hour, and was much easier than I thought it would be. Before I dove in, I did a quick Google search, and found this page:

http://www.jeepin.com/features/wj_window_regulator

I thought it was a great page for anyone about to do one of these regulators. Before I put the door panel back on, I blasted the inside with :ff When I got the old one out, the cable was frayed, which is why it only jammed sometimes, and others it worked fine going up and down.

I've done several on the Silverados(99'-02')They are also quite simple. There are a ton of aftermarket sources for them cheap but beware, sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Dorman is the only company making afteramrket reg/motor combos there branded diff depending on the parts store Napas are under Ballcamp but are Dorman units.

The biggest probel with the C/K truck units is even though there simple to change they need to be adjusted most times the run channels are dry which causes them to labor ending up snapping the cable. Fluid film is great for lubing the new assem and also the run channels.
