hi there everyone, this is my first post so here goes
my pump (e-47) had been grinding for a few days and seized tonight,so i slapped my backup motor on.
i took the seized motor apart and the bushings on both ends are worn almost oval. can you get a rebuild kit for this or is it pooched? (brushes are at about 50%)
thanks
Bill
Welcome to SC.com!
Since the motors are only $60-$70.00 (US) I always just replaced them and never even thought about a rebuild. I did recently have a spreader motor into an alternator, generator, electric motor type shop and because the bushings were bad they were not able to repair it, so maybe the answer is no? Not sure if it was just because of the particular brand of that motor that they weren't able to get those parts for it though. I haven't ever seen motor parts listed in any of the parts lists or for sale at any of the plow parts suppliers.

I just rebuilt my pump motor today. I needed brushes. I bet you can get a kit to replace what you need. If the housing got wallered out then i would say get a new motor. Your dealer can hook you up.

the motor is $50 from angelos, when I took mine apart to change some seals the cap fell off and the guts went everywhere I said f-it and just bought a new motor
"I just rebuilt my pump motor today. I needed brushes."
Replacing wearable replacement parts (IE brushes in this case,or a cutting edge for a plow) is really maintenance or repair, not a "rebuild". Replacing the seals like Nate mentions, & the bearings, bushings, terminals, etc.; that would be a rebuild. I have not seen a source for these parts, so I just buy a new motor. If someone knows where to get these parts, please share.
