Welcome to the site! Great information on here. Lets see some pics of that white dually! I saw a truck exactly like that outside Chapters in Ancaster Meadowlands a week or so ago....was it yours?? The plow looked brand new! (as did the truck)

Hi guys,

Im new on this site but very active on *************. Im located in BelleRiver, Ontario just east of Windsor or west of London.Nice to see some fellow Ontarions on here. I have a 2006 F-350 powerstroker it's going in on monday for the new Artic 8 foot V blade. The new artics are all galvenized dipped (no more painting guys..sweet). Although I inspected the shipment at my dealer yesterday. The fisher V-blade and the snoway V-blade both looked very nice. The fisher had stainless steel blades but the frame and center still have to be painted. The snoway was all black paint. I am hoping the artic was the rite decision about 6800.00 that installed with all are lovely Ontario taxes. I will post some pictures on monday night.

I think I would look at other things besides if I have to paint a blade. Galvanizing is toxic if you have to weld it and quite frankly there are alot of better V Blades out there. I'd change the order to Fisher if your dealer will let you. Your better off with the Arctic then the Snoway. JMO

We used Arctic plows for almost 20 years. The company sales rep was in North Bay about 10 years ago and I almost begged him to build a vee plow so I could continue with Arctic. He said that they had a design, but they were after the Fisher trip-edge market, and my vee plow desire didn't equal a big enough market opportunity to start to build it then. All he could talk about was taking market share away from Fisher. Doubt that they ever did.

Now, I'm glad they didn't jump to the rescue and build that vee design then - I don't like their vee and went with another brand. For what it's worth, I'd look further too rather than buy galvanized. Read the dangers of zinc fume poisoning when welding, and it's harder to get a good weld with galvanized in the area - you can't usually get it all out.
