Has anyone use a backdrag blade on a Snow-Way? If so well does it work?

I know not ALL sno-ways have downpressure, but wouldn't it be easier to retrofit DP than to add a backdrag? If the plow already has DP, why would it need a backdrag?

The DP system is not retrofittable in the field. The only way to upgrade from gravity system would be to replace it with a down pressure model.

The DP system is not economically retrofittable in the field. The only way to upgrade from gravity system would be to replace the gravity drop hydraulic manifold with a down pressure manifold, replace the pump side wiring harness, and the single acting cylinder with a Double acting Cylinder, if it is a 03 or newer there isn't any control changes necessary you have the capability with your existing control the older fenners are a little trickier it with a down pressure model.
Of course, Toby4492 is right in that it would be easier and cheaper to buy a new/used unit with dp.
A back drag edge would be nice. Help give the unit a little better attack angle when using the blade "backwards"

I do have DP on my Snow-Way, But When I back drag even with DP on it scraps clean for about 4 feet then I have to go over the same spot a few times to get truck length. I thought with the angle of the back drag blade it would save some time and it plow as great backward as it does forward.:popcorn2

Huh, guess I assumed that A) DP was an easy add-on, and B) a DP-equipped blade would have no need for a backdrag... boy was I wrong!!
A backdrag will certainly help backdragging performance, it does on every other plow I've seen- no reason it wouldn't work on a S-W. It's just a matter of figuring out how to mount it.
