Last year we did a truck transfer with our 10' Western from a 84' F-700 to a 03' F-650. When doing so, the dealer hooked us up with a new set of Sabre lights in the deal. Nice!
The dealer wired them into the existing headlight system so that you can only use one set of lights at a time. (Typical stock plow wire harness w/ relay, system). I would like to separate the plow lights from the truck so that I can use them without shutting down the trucks headlights.

My question: Is there an easy way to convert the existing Sabre wire harness without really having to change much or eliminate anything? Perhaps some type of trick?

We have installed simple separate harnesses on our other trucks that we made ourselves in order to use all four lights. I could do the same on this truck but I wanted to see my options before I dig deep into the harness. Thanks for your help. Jake.

Is it an isolation box or relays??? A lot of the Night Sabre lights use the isolation box. Let us know for sure which system. Isolation box will be 8" rectuangular box with 4 sets of wires going to it.

Promower,
It is a relay system. I have several on each side under the hood. Each set goes to a separate Sabre light. I wasn't sure if there was an easy way or trick to convert without going crazy with extra wiring, relays, and another switch.

In my opinion, I will probably have to disconnect the Sabre harness from the trucks wiring and run two separate power feeds to the low & high beam plow light circuits. In doing so, I would then install a two way, (on-off-on), toggle switch somewhere on the dash. This is how my other trucks plow lights are wired. My thoughts.

Jake.
