So the extended warranty company isnt going to cover my tranny due to plowing, if I had known this I would have taken off the sub frame before taking in the truck. But my buddy works at the dealer and is helping me pull the trans tonight (use of bay and lift) and their trans tech is going to rebuild it and hopefully have it back tomorrow.
Any suggestions on upgrades to make sure it wont happen again.

If you have a snow plow prep package, they cannot deny you, call your lawyer.
That would defete the purpose of offering it.

no plow prep and it is not factory warranty. Extended warranty company sent adjuster out and said tell the customer to read his paper work, item 19 no commercial towing or snowplowing.

Suck it up and put a factory reman in. You cant beat the warranty. With that facility a good tech shuld have you back on the road in less than 4 hrs if you are just swapping the tranny with a reman unit. The reman nit will have all the latest up grades and improvments as well.

Trans tech is rebuilding it tomorrow, my buddy and I pulled it tonight, just got home, gotta love having a lift and air tools in heated shop bay available after the boss man goes home only bad part we had to push the heavy SOB outside to a space when done slightly uphill (shop electric pusher laughed) so hooked her to malibu rental car. As long as parts are in stock will be done tomorrow afternoon and back in tomorrow night.

$538.00 and I'm back in my truck good as new. Hope it holds up, tech said I burnt up the reverse drum revving the crap out of it trying to get it to back up. But thankfully he had one in his spare parts bin 400.00 just for part.

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, I was 17 and my mother had a newer Cordoba. A neighbor asked me to make their house look lived in while they were away in Florida. So being the good samaritan that I was, I pulled the Corinthian Leather into the driveway a little too far,and the snow was a little too deep, and no snow tires (Firestone 500's, recalled twice, 'nother story...), and no AWD, and I cooked all the nice fresh blue B@M Trick Shift tranny oil, and Cottman said that I had overheated it so badly:burnout that they had to torch it apart. My only saving grace was that it was the lowly 904, not the 727 (read TH400).

I hope you at least flushed the lines and cooler. I would replace them but at least flush them.

HELLO!!! We're talking 1977. Speaking of coolers, I robbed a condenser (radiator/cooler) out of an old Coke cooler to use as a trans cooler. I rinsed it out with the garden hose, and installed it on the Cordoba. That's when I noticed that the trans fluid was milky pink. I had not flushed the water out!. That's when I put the shift kit/ B@M trick shift oil in... My father must be rolling in his grave.. :argue
