View Full Version : mount fitment
will a mount from a 2001 Dodge 3/4 Ton Pickup, work on a 1994 dodge 2500? Have another question, I have a older boss, don't really know the year, but I'm going out to see if I can see any #'s on it, but how do you tell what series you have, rt 2, rt 3 etc.? Its a 7.6 standard, 3 trip springs. Thanks

The mount is the same... No problem. Do you have levers on your plow that you flip to point to on and off? if so it is an RT3

All I have is the levers to turn to let them go thru the undercarriage, and the same ones to pull out. I'll see if I can get a pic of the hookup part tomorrow. Will a older boss, I think maybe a rt2, will that hook up to the rt3 undercarriage Thanks

Sounds like you have an RT2... No...It won't hook to an RT3

RT2 has a single lever on the drivers side that operates the linkage, you lock it with a safety pin...
No they don't swap back and forth...
I have 2 levers, push the light bar back, and pray that the holes line up, some of the time they will snap into place, but most times not, you have to jack, push/pull to get it hooked up. Helps some to hook the electrics up, wiggle the blade somewhat, to relieve pressure off the cylinder.

Sounds like an RT3 with the first SmartHitch - do you have a two position switch on the side of the light tower?
