I never noticed the amount of data this site has when you view a page because I have dsl at the house and everything is quick. I've been browsing on my new phone quite a bit and see that the average webpage is around 650KB of data. that's pretty high for a forum like this, I know that you need sponsors (banners) but perhaps they can be compressed more? Most other forums i'm on are around 250-350KB. this wasn't meant as an insult but more of a suggestion.

The spot under the Buzz Box will be filled real soon :wink When I add that one I will look into it. I know what the bandwidth sucker is :wink

The Fisher Banner is the winner at 340749 Bytes, followed by the Scoop Dogg/ Salt Dogg Banner 32470 Bytes, then Karrier at 6291 bytes, Beering at 5000, the rest are around 4000 or under.

wow. 337Kb for one banner is quite a load. I hadn't checked the sizes since I was surfing on my phone. That banner should be closer to 5-10KB (gifs are naturally bigger). Even the Saltdog should be able to be shrunk down a bit too.
Jerre, shrinking at least the Fisher file will greatly reduce the load on the server making it faster for everyone. Reducing the size of the Salt Dogg banner would also make the tea a little sweeter.
