OBD 2 hookup ?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to help out my brother here with his fine automobile - a '98 Hyundai Accenet. He's looking for the OBD 2 hookup - any clue where to find it?


The 720 goes on next week.....

Start pulling acess doors on the dash area sometimes in rear console:rolleyes: imports fought like hell to not go to the 16way directional On board diag 2 in 96 and they make us pay by hiding the connectors in all diff spots.

I would bet its in a access door on the drivers bolster left and right below the steering wheel. Also check if its equipped with a center console seen them there before and last sometimes not always the owners manuel will show it in dash area breakdown, iam not in the shop to pull up alldata to give you excact but it should be near were i mentioned.

Thanks Fred - they found it. All O2 codes - looks like a bad sensor. Now he has to narrow it down - I guess there is more than one?

Car's got to go for e-test in Jan. - not looking very promising. He bought it 18 months ago for $400 IIRC, so no big loss there (ran pretty good for that time).

He'll be looking for something that the 720 will fit on...
