We do not offer a factory produced application for this vehicle. To put a plow on this truck would require that you or someone fabricate the mounting system for the truck. We at Sno-Way appreciate your interest in our products.

WELL! It was on Ebay and some rascal bought it last night for the buy it now price.
anyway, a couple of kids from some place in Pennsylvania came along Saturday, and felt they needed my overkill mog worse than anything in the world, I shot them a price, they left, and called me Monday morning and said a certified check was on the way, so now I am window shopping until or if the check arrives.
The old binder I was dreaming of is on greed bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200179186013&rd=1

and I was thinking how fun it would have been to fly out and drive that old girl home, almost had my wife thinking it would be a hoot also...almost...
The pic of the cream one is the one I kinda liked, the blue one is my 65 which I used for several years and totaly trashed a cheap snow bear blade :D with it
got rid of it a month ago for some reason.

you don't mind hawking your products here with every inquiry from members. Why not kick into the kitty and support the site as a sponsor. I am not saying that I am speaking for the site or the membership here but I am speaking as a sponsor. If you can reap financial benfits from the site then you should support it too. If you notice the banners all the other major brands have done so.

CGSI,

I had been contacted by Chuck a while back with respect to Sno-Way becoming a sponsor, and forwarded him the contact information @ Sno-Way who handles our marketing. I work as a salesman for the company only and do not have any authority as to where our marketing dollars are spent.

I did respond to Bill in his thread looking for a spreader to handle calcium because I know him. He and others came to the meet that I held in CT this past August. Other than the sheep fetish :wink he seemed like a pretty good guy and I thought I would see if I could help him out.

This like most of these forums are supported by members. There are some true experts here that help as well. It is free to members to learn and help others and to network. The site does cost money to operate and that money comes from sponsors.

Chuck puts a lot of time and effort into the site and it just seems to me that if someone is trying to gain financial benefit from the site then they should pay for advertising. The way to keep it free to members is through sponsorship.

It is not very enticing for member/sponsors that share in the cost of the site to continue to do so while others push there "products" without kicking in. Look at the banners at the top because they are the ones that help keep this site afloat for everyones use.

You may disagree with me and thats fine. Everyone has there opinions. But what I stated above is true and factual and just a fact of life.

As far as where I posted it goes I am not only a sponsor but a member as well. With my 1300 and sum post very few have to do with the products I sell as far as pushing them. They are questions in general and answering questions.

Every one of which advertise your products, look at your signature, it is an advertisement. I don't think you're wrong for doing it but it is kind of an oxymoron to your statement. Unless, of course, you pay for the right to advertise.

He does pay  look at the top of the page, i know were not flying a banner station that looks like a redlight district but the sponsors we have here are people that are truly members of the site to include John Murphy from Fisher.

Listen since knowing Chuck i have encourged him to add sponsors i would like to think of myself has one of his advertising agents, his rates are no were near what the other site is and honeslty any given day the people here are more than capable of spending money for a product.

I know Tom is only a salesman and honestly i have grown to like him has a member here but sales is sales he must have some pull with Snoway marketing . Your a Snowway dealer Basher you should be hitting Snoway up for the same help . I mean come on man the company you rep just releases what could be a decent plow and they dont spend anything other than a Sima booth and some free You Tube Vids to market it..???
From a good source the Revs are still setting on the factory floor waiting to be shipped Dude its the Middle of Oct for some of us Snow WILL Fly in less than 30 days.

FYI The Plow Topic forums are for members to discuss diff plow brands WE did the Snowway for our Members that own them not because Snowway ponyed up any cash.

Its all about Buss Basher i Own a Napa Autocare center am i happy they have blown a load on MW"s number 55 car for Nascar no but they also have put there name out there just the same along with other adver media ,, if they want there sign gracing my building they better be helping me i would see no diff with Snowway.

Want to see the canceled checks. Like I said, I am a sponsor, a paying sponsor as well as a member. Magic Salt does not pay to be on this site but as a Distributor for them I do pay it. If I did not I would not be flashing there Banner in mine and thats just the way it is.

I am a firm believer that this is the BEST site out there for people in our proffession and I want to help keep it that way. The site is fast, clean of issues and is very professional and that all takes money to by storage space and bandwidth. The flashing banners alone take up a lot. all the pictures eat up a lot of storage space and it all costs money so yes, I am proud to be a sponsor here and just would like to see the companies that hope to benefit from the site to do the same.

BTW and FWIW, the profit from the sales to me that this site has generated for me would not pay for about one month of the sponsors cost a year. I am not in a position that my company benefits from sales by other dealers. If the sale is not made directly from CGSI there is no benefit other than having the products out there.

I apologize I haven’t quite sorted out the menagerie at the top of the page.

I received this from Chuck Smith

My reason for having this site is to help people. Everything else comes second. Plow site used to be for that purpose too. When it became a business venture, I left.

Then you tell me

Its all about Buss Basher I assume the buss is business.

Conflicting ideals?

Not speaking for Fred but I think what he was refering to when he said Business is Business is that in regards to Sno-Way advertising is not FREE anywhere. Call your local TV and Radio station and see what a 10 second spot will cost you and then call the national channels and see what a 10 second spot costs. Call your local newspaper and ask about a quater page ad and then call the Times and ask them about a quater page ad. They charge you to advertise and then charge people to buy the paper. Get my drift? Here there are a few that advertise to pay the bills and then it is free for everyone to view.

And as far as what Chuck said it is 100% TRUE. He wants this site for the members. We all abide by it and offer support whenever it is asked for and if people ask brand specific questions we chime in to help. Thats why we keep things low key around here as far as advertising. There is the Banner board on the top and our signatures and thats about it.

Also, as for as Buss being Business this site takes capitol to operate and thats the only reason Chuck has paid sponsors. Without it the site could not afford to operate. Why should Chuck dig into his pocket to supply a site that offers so much to so many people. We all take great pride in the work that Chuck does to keep it updated and running smoothly so why should he have to carry the financial burden as well.

As a sponsor here all that I am asking is that if someone comes in here hawking products is that they contribute there fair shair to making it work.

I have said my piece and do not think there is anything else I can say to change it. If Sno-Way wants to advertise there dealer network on here and not contribute there is nothing I can do or say to change it. I am Honored to sponsor this site and handle products that also sponsor this site and to have made a lot of friends here along the way.

No i dont think its conflicting at all , Chuck built this site to do exactly what it does help people, that still doesnt mean it runs on bean farts. Chuck would give the shirt off his back to help someone , i have and i know he knows he cant keep paying out of pocket for this site.

Dont take out of context what he is saying with the other site and leaving there was far more to it than the fact of the all for the money and screw the members there.

Helping someone with no personal gains is something that many do here. I spend countless hours helping members with Auto related problems because i want to i dont expect anyone to buy anything from me.

Let me ask you again you have ducked my question three diff times in three diff threads about Snowway helping its dealers and salesman sell there product are they so good they sell themselfs? . I dont see the same image from Snowway has i do the other plow manf , marketing is part of selling a product, and has a dealer probley being required to stock X amount of inventory you should demand it.

Feel free to archive me here Basher i can play Chess with you till your brain spins in circles you wont break my balls many have tryed many have failed.

I don't want to play chess, I'm a golfer.:D

Of course, I would like to see Snoway advertise more. I comment on it to my DSM regularly. However, I will admit neither PS nor LTS are high on my list. They (SW) are very fair with co-op money and I use it to advertise in my market to what I perceive as my customer. I am relieved they are taking a low-key approach to the first year release. Having seen and been in the middle of some new product disasters from more then one manufacturer a limited initial release has a certain appeal. I do not expect problems but if there are....

If you want Snoway money, I suggest you contact the corporate office during working hours and talk to the marketing department. I'm sure Toby has presented the idea but his job is to sell Snoway plows not LTS, IMO he (like I) probably has his own agenda as to where advertising dollars should go. I doubt public admonishment is going to have a positive effect

I do belive contact was made late summer with no repley . Its not gonna break LTS if it doesnt happen, however you cant blame or expect people that do pay to sponsor to embrace you or your product.

Has for LTS and sales this i can tell you i doubt Jerre Heyer could have spent money in his local market and got the return he did here. Being a Co founder of the Blizzard Erie Special i doubt theres to many dealers that can say they have sold over 100 custom units from this site, or have poeple driving upwards of 10 hrs 1 way to have him sell and service there equipment.

I am glad that i not only started the Erie Program iam happy and flat proud of him to be the only dealer i know that pulls people from 6 states away to sell a plow and install and give a level of service that most havent or wont see in a typical situation.

One thing i can agree a little with you on is target marketing i agree if your not providing a service over and above like Jerre Chances are the two sites may or may not help you. Maybe thats what doesnt make sense to some of us that the SW banner flys there with a average age of 19-24 yr olds when its time to write a check for a 6k plow your chances of wining the Lotto become greater than selling a plow to that sector.

Peter Beering also another sponsor here has sold to many of us and conts to so iam sure he again during marketing could denie selling Fluid Film here or on the streets of Indy which yeilds more.

Again if iam wrong has time goes by about you Basher most that know me here know that i will admitt if i read you wrong. With your comment about not wanting to help people for free or offer advice i wonder what your motive is. Sadly even without SW Support like i said earyler i have come to like Tom for being not just a salesman but a member here who gets involed with threads many times that have nothing to do with SW Plows he has become a civic leader here, and now you come in and build back up the walls he has worked to knock down.

So kinda in terms maybe you will understand its like your presents here is like a lady who hasnt shaved her legs in a month not very attractive. Tom on the other hand was begining to make a mark here for other than a SW salesman hate to see you wreck that for him.
