Well guys, storm is at my door steps and its snowing. Went out last night, changed oil in SB, filled with fresh fuel and added a cap full of seafoam. Went to fire and snowblower will NOT get fuel. Primer button feels like its not priming. Tried a small amount of ether and fuel in cylinder and still didnt fire, only popped a couple times like it was thinking about firing. What do i need to do/check to get this POS running!!

Have you pulled the air filter and given a shot of fuel or quickstart down the carb? Can do the same thing with the spark plug if its easier. Probably will run and die out, but sometimes the vaccuum of running will draw the fuel in if its airlocked or even slightly blocked up.

Got compressed air? Can you pull off the fuel hose at the carb? Use the blow off nozzle GENTLY and blow back into the tank with the cap on but loose (be aware it will tend to blow some fuel around, NO SMOKING etc.). You should at minimum hear some bubbles blowing. More likely than not, after that, the fuel will start coming down the line when you release the pressure. If not, remove the cap and using a clean rag to seal around the blower nozzle in the opening, give it a quick shot of air which should force fuel down the line. If you're not getting fuel to the primer, something is blocked up.

REMEMBER you are playing with gasoline so be careful not to get it in your eyes and no sparks of any kind!

Good luck!

well, i got it running, primer seems to be working now somewhat i guess, took a lot to get it going, wouldnt idle up at first and died a l;ot, what i did was take the cover off and bang on the carb bowl to release the float which was probably gummed up, i also noticed i have fuel dripping down the choke opening when i prime it??? Seems to be running decent now anyway, found a rubber hose that had a deteriorated end on it that i cut off and put back on. Main concern now is why fuel is dripping down from the choke and why it was so hard to start this season. May need to have the carb reworked next summer if it makes it through this winter.

When you prime it,it's pushing raw fuel into the carb,so it's normal to see some dripping out if you prime it a lot.

The most common problem with the carb is it gets gummed up with varnish from stale fuel sitting inside.

Drop the bowl off the bottom of the carb, and then you can easily remove the float, along with the needle and seat.Clean them off,and clean out the seat passage and the main jet.Clean the gunk out of the bowl and reassemble everything. It should now run much better.

thats the reason i ran sea foam in it this year, is to kinda clean things out. Will the sea foam kinda un gun everything or is that just a lost cause

Just wondered what a cordless extension cord looks like? LOL a box of air? Sounds like something Mr. Popeill (sp?) would be selling on TV at 3am!! :D
