Hi All
My local Dawoo dealer said Dawoo bought out Bobcat so they had a SS line.

Does anybody know if it is true for sure?:popcorn2

I believe it was doosan that bought bobcat for 4.9 billion...or atleast something close to that.

There is not soposed to be any changes in the near future.

It does give Doosan an instant dealer network. from my understanding they will not be starting a ss line. they will just keep bobcat name.

well now that they have aquired the bobcat line i'm sure things are in the works for an orange doosen model that will look pretty much like the bobcat now that they hold the pattern rights for it. Or they will probably just get ride of the bobcat brand name and make them doosen. but i'm sure they will want to probably do it the first way and keep the co's seperate.

I guess you can say it's not american made any more even though it's made here. lol kinda like toyota some made here but still owned overseas.

Yeah it's nice to see america's #1 skid steer is now korean!!! They already have a tractor out it is a kioti with a different loader on it and white paint. Bobcat didn't like there loader so they made their own. There were pictures posted on a a tractor forum but they were quickly removed. Funny thing is that bobcat is using kubota engines, but now that doosan is involved I don't know how long that will last. Apparently kubota is now pushing to get their skid steer to the market . I guess we'll see what happens!!!

WOW some one else gets it. I guess Im all done w bobcat. I also have a CAT SS which I think is higher quality anyways. I can't wait to see the quality once a Korean company takes over. Bobcats will be like Kia cars! Just throw away when done!! :D:D:D

Well at least my gehl is still amercian made and owned. nothing against bobcat but just costing alot and maybe too much high tech to fix when out of waranty. But to cover myself i guess that is the way everything is going . hi-tech.

Not sure how i missed this post .....

But yes the rumors are true , Doosan Infacor International is in the process of acuiring Bobcat from IR. IR has dropped alot of its compmays like Bobcat.

Sale is expected to to be completed end of 4th quarter this year.

It has been told to me by the higher ups that this will have no effect on my and or the consumer level. Not sure , only time will tell i guess.

On a side note ... Bobcat now is in the compact tratcor line. I have had a chance to get some seat time and put them through there paces. We were one of the 1st 25 dealers to get the "contract" to be a dealer for them.

I will get some pics up of them to keep the pic whores happy!
