I talked with Scott from Machinability today at length about their V plows.

Here are some pics. I am impressed after speaking with him and seeing the pics. Price is high....compared to alot of others...

There is alot of metal here 2400lbs+, plow push beam is ran back to draw bar, 48" tall blade..

Howard I have seen these at some shows (sima and the local snow show in Marlborough Mass) and they are VERY impressive to say the least. I was really shocked though when I heard the price, about $14,000 plus shipping and that qoute was several years ago!

JD I think you left one zero off that price.Gordyo and I saw the one they had at the show in Marlborough and I loved it but you really need alot of work to justfy the cost.

I like those plows, the set up is very clean. The price is a little scary but I have just over ten in my 14' Root that is older than I am. The nice thing is it was spred over six years of updating and fixing but if I had the money and plowed different type of accounts I would have one.

We had one on a larger NH at the last place i worked at. Thing worked great and i loved plowing with it when i had the chance. The only thing we found was that we needed to make extra shoes to keep in the cab. Price of the cutting edge was to darn expensive to not run shoes.

Potato Chip could give you numbers on production with the tractor/blade vs trucks.
