Can't you just say congratulations to the guy without giving him a hard time? He has some pretty big shoes to fill and I'm sure he could do with some words of encouragement and less harrasment.
Congrats Mark!!!!!!!!

Now how did you get him to pose for the picture. He wouldn't do that in Erie, that's for sure, but that might have had something to do with the helmet he was supposed to be wearing. Congrat's Mark.

When it stops raining up there, paddle over to the embroidery outfit and have them add the appropriate scrambled eggs to the corporate beanie.
Congrats! (or condolences) Whichever is more appropo.

Mark is one of the few that come on here every day, that has been around since Hall of Forums. For those that don't know, that is 1999. Not many can say they have been around that long. There are two ways to look at Mods, one is that they are community leaders, and two they are the LTS police. I am glad that *most* of the time the Mods don't have to be police here. We have a great Membership family here, and when there is a problem, believe me, the "Report Post" gets used often ;) Mark has been around long enough to know what is ok, and what is not. He is a natural choice for me as a Mod. We (Mods and myself) can't be on here all the time, but when a problem comes up, there is always one of us here, and if not, that "Report Post" gets one of us here pretty quick.
Welcome aboard Mark.

Thanks guys (other than Big Dog, that is), even if you are all a bunch of wise donkeys. :grinz
I have a feeling that Chuck did this so it was easier to keep me in line rather than anything else. :wink That was a long time ago, I can still remember SIMA's
first attempt at a forum, it was actually similar to a blog.
PS And somehow, Chuck made it impossible for me to edit anything that says floating, sinking, pontoons, skidsteers, etc.

Little plows asks if trying to float equipment is one of the new requirements for moderators........................
He know's that I've done it. Suspects Fred has done it. John D and a golf course just leaves too many possibilities. Chris would do it just to be like every one else and he figures that Alan would never admit it and come on Rich..............If you haven't the boys have.

Congrats Mark. Chuck doesn't pic a mod lightly.
OH BTW: does floating a volks Bug accross a marsh and driving out the other side count as equipment ?? It did do through ( errr OVER) snowbanks pretty good.

Floating equipment........................if there has been, no one around here would ever say a thing about it.:nope :nope Stuck, hung up, burried maybe.
So I'm not sure floating equipment is needed to be a mod but it could help.:D

It sure is sounding like there's an awful lot of stories out there similar to mine. Just nobody else with enough guts to own up to making a stupid mistake once in their lifetime though, like I did. By posting it here. :grinz
Durwood, you sure you know what you're saying?
Peter, does this mean I get to wear the beanie with a propeller now?

I am glad that you have reached Mod status. I am sure you will keep things in line here. It will seem funny having you prevent things from getting pulled too far off track or into the gutter:wink Congrats on the position.
