Bought this jewel for $725.00 (was $800, but I traded some snowplowing earlier this year.
Anyone familiar with Lil Dumper? Are they now another brand, or gone for good? Haven't been able to find any info on it.
A new hose, a quick and dirty coat of rustoleum and a complete re-wire and I was good to go.
Hauled a couple loads of mulch, then went straight for the gusto. Swung into a pit on my way to S A McLeans yesterday, but I'm not used to telling a loader operator to stop. He apparently keeps dumping until the driver says enough, with my other 8 yarder, it's never an issue.
Sooooo, 2.32 tons of 3/4 crushed stone later, away I went. Total weight was 11420, and it handled great. I must be running more than that with the plow and sander on when I'm loaded-up, as it felt lighter than when I'm all dressed up for snow.
I don't plan to run it like this, but now I know what it will dump.
I need to look at the Downeasters and see what I will need for adaption to a tailgate sander.
I added a switch to the rear of the unit, so when working out of it I won't have to get in the cab to tilt it up or lower it.
