Well had a guy show up with a seriously rotted Western Sport Utility on Sat of the GTG. CGSI and a few others got a chance to see it. After further checking of the plow we found that the center ribs were rotted out too. We gave him a couple of options including new Moldboards for the plow. He chose the 680 Blizzard moldboard to get a little more width and what he considered a stronger moldboard than replacing it with another western Sport utility moldboard.

Here are a couple of picts of the finished project.

This didn't fit Western thread or Blizzard thread so I put it here.

This isn't the first Blizzard moldboard transplant we've done in the past. The 6.6 Standard plow is almost a plug and play replacement for the 720 moldboard. The Sport utility takes a little more work but fits up very nicely.

I was after Air-Flo to offer moldboards for replacment on westerns that have gone to the rust heap. There stainless moldboard is a direct fit for Western's up to the End of the UNI - MOUNTS.

Looks very good, at least he can short chain it if there are any problems. And who said that you could not short chain a Blizzard.:D

PS J, could you please stop holding out on me, I just replaced a Western 6' 6" a couple years ago, would have much rather had STAINLESS. :wink Or Blizzard for that matter.

If I hadn't replaced the moldboard 2 years ago, and the pump\motor the year before, I would do it in a heartbeat, but the thing is like brand new now. Still can't believe that POS pump only lasted 10 seasons. :wink Should've seen Patrick's face, he thought I was serious when I told him that it was junk and didn't tell him how old it was until a minute later. :grinz

Hmmmmmmmmmm now you've got me thinking. Depending on what we do with the 96' Cherokee this year that may be a sweet little idea... Of course there would have to be more mods to go along with the project ;)

That was the guy that was there early Sat morning? I told him there was no fixing that thing and he would need a new blade. Nice Job J & T!
