I know that there are a few mow guys here. We don't do it unless there is a special reason to so I don't know squat about pricing it. I have worked out what I need to charge per hour. Can I get some timings? I've got a site, 8,000 sq. ft. with pretty good slopes on either side. The type that I can easily see a mower sliding down the hill if approached incorrectly. A rough time would be great. It's not a high maintenance lawn. Just needs to be cut two or three times a month and trimmed along the walkway. Any help appreciated.

I could actually use a rough estimate for per acre time on flat lawn too. Just something to keep in my notebook for reference. Thanks

Kind of tough to shoot from the hip. Several pics, from different angles would help a lot

It costs my customers $35 for me to drop the gate.

up to 1/4 acre (11,000sqft) - 35
1/2 Acre - 45
3/4 Acre - 50
1 Acre - 55
each additional acre - 20

These are rough prices and are affected buy the terrain, amount of edging, trimming, and blowing involved. In addition, these are prices for 30 cuts per season. 24 cuts would be a higher cost.

hope that helps

Tough to know without looking at it. Do you mean edged along walkway? Any other obstacles such as trees, culverts, etc?

The price per mow would be higher if you're only going to do it 2-3 times per year instead of a regular service as well. Takes a lot longer and more care to mow anything when it is longer than if it is regularly mowed.

You say it's steep, sounds like you might need to tie off! :wink :rolling :rolling

Don't have any pics. but the propertty is something like this: /—\ Building is underneath with 60X40 flat rooftop and grass on it. Ventilation to mow around. Very low maintenance lawn. They don't try to draw attention to it. Most people drive right by without knowing it is there. Edging includes 2o foot walkway. We'd have to figure out the ventilation.

I sent them something last night figuring one of my guys can do it in just over a half hour. Hopefully I am not proved wrong.

Alot depends on the equip. your using also. Walk behinds work great on hills, where i'm at a disadvantage with the riders. I would also jack the price up because of the every other week mowing. I refuse to mow every other week, because of the extra strain on the mowers during the heavy going season (which could be all year, depending on the rain).

I'm at $60 an arce for wide open no trimming. With the 48" & 60" riders we can mow a flat acre in less than 20min.

I realize you were gone sledding most of the winter, but the sheep was shot and put out of it's misery. About the same time Renda blew out Ginger I. :( :( :(

Where the heck have you been, man? Hiding behind your unproductive, yellow, chain-lift plow? :grinz :grinz Get with the program, would ya?

Ginger was Renda's\ProSno's first sheep-friend. A blow up type friend, if you get my drift. Take a look at the GTG thread and you will see Ginger's replacement. Dave (GMC Driver) and I think the appropriate name for the replacement would be Stella. Others think Cinnamon, not sure on the story behind that one. This year's GTG thread and last year's all have pics of Bill's long lost love.

I would suggest a search, but you probably don't have that much time to go through all the hits you would receive when searching for sheep.

That was Bill's idea, if I remember correctly.

Adding another two sites and I have two questions. First, (remember we are not a mowing company so I'm clueless about this) both sites are flat, 13,000 sq.ft. four trees each and a walkway. The lawns are not high maintenance lawns. How long to mow each? Second, with what? We're planning bi-weekly mowings.

Sight unseen I would have to say $50 each. with out equip. it would take 2 guys about 20 min. each. A lot depends on your mowing equip. What do you use?
PS biweekly cuts suck

With a zero-turn it would probably take about 15-20 minutes to mow, trim and blow off the walk. With a 48" walk-behind it would take a little over a half hour. This is assuming it is a one-man crew.

Wow. Wish we could charge that high around here. $35/lawn is what we could get.
