That is a real nice integration of the plow controls . All plow manufacturers should learn from you . Much more user friendly than the one you had mounted to the outside mirror LOL

ROFLMAO
I remember that at the Taconic BBQ :)
Looks like a great setup Jerre. A lot simpler to use from the drivers seat than to be reaching for that big ol Blizzard box :)

I assume that you turned the wing control rockers to face forward? I'm not familiar with the orientation of the Blizzard controller, but I know its much larger than many of the competition's. Were you able to fit all those wires and circut boards in the door as well? Looks great, very 'stock' looking!

Thanks for the Kudos.
Jay I had that control on the mirror for the wing man........ Got to get a good look at that drivers side wing while moving snow. Besides he farts alot and I can't stand to have him in the cab with me.
Honestly, I did the mirror mount for fairs and shows because it was alot easier than opening the door all the time. Usually do the passengers side so you can see both plows from the same side though.
Am starting the next door panel and taking orders for more on the Fords. Working on the dodge and Cheve but them damn trucks are too much like cars on the inside.
Trade in your old joystick controls now. Need truck panel color and switch configuration ( i.e. Power mirrors, windows, std, club cab, x cab )
p.s. Thought of putting the side wing in there too but I prefer it on the right in the 810 control or in the dash.

thats preety funny i built the second place car in the north east in car steareos a few years ago.i was thinking when plowing the other day how neat it would be to do something like that but i didnt think it would catch on i also thought of putting like a touch control style buttons in the stearing wheel but what happens when you have to turn.i still have to work out those details.but for now ill just ponder on it and :headwall
Jerre,
I want to do the same thing on one of mine as a trial. What brand joystick switch did you use? How many contacts on the switch?

The joystick is a slickstick, working on a new design now.
Idea came from where most do........It would be nice for me if I could.............was the customers comment.

Putting ideas into reality.

I posted a picture of same thing back in Oct. 2003 on other forum.I just didn't put wings on door panel. I like left handed controls. Wyldman posted picture for me.

Willy,
Not to steal your thunder. I had put several joysticks in the door for customers on older trucks. Mounted them horizontally so forward and back were up and down. Up and down were left and right. What they wanted to do so how I put them in.
Did alot of rocker switches in the dash and door also as well as joysticks in the dash.
Old fisher and western controls in the dash on older 73-87 cheve right in the bottom corner of the dash panel.
It was a little bit of a challenge to get all of the controls in the panel. The wings and the light and plow control switches are there.
I did one with a 4 door panel too but wouldn't recommend it. Not very much room. He opted for removing the 4 door panel and using a 2 door for the winter and putting the 4 door back in the spring.
Biggest problem I have with in the door or on the door is the wire and connectors take a beating and when they fail are a pain to find the break sometimes. Got a tone machine just to find wire breaks because of a door problem.
