Well, since it was asked, I took some pics at the shop tonight. Let me start by saying if you don't have a 3000psi pressure gauge (Minimum) then don't even try to do this. Your best bet is a 5000psi gauge, as it can also be used to adjust the Crossover Relief Valve. You need the gauge installed in a 1/4" pipe T, and a coupler half in each of the other ends. Make sure the T is rated at over 4000psi (I use stainless rated at 7000psi). Connect the gauge in one of the angle lines. You then angle the plow to that side and max it out watching the pressure rise until it reaches the highest reading. If it is around 1600psi, you are done. If it is not 1600 psi (Meyer recommends 1650) then you need to adjust the Pump Relief Valve (which I called the pump quill in another thread). Before someone jumps in and says it is better to install the gauge at the pump outlet port, it is, and I do, but you need an adapter to use the port. There is nothing wrong with doing it inline at an anlge hose, the pump port is just better. That said.....
First pic, back of the pump. Use a 1/2" wrench to hold the Jam Nut, and remove the Acorn Nut using another 1/2" wrench.
Second Pic, Acorn Nut loosened.
Third Pic, hold the set screw with a flat screwdriver making a mental note of its position. Loosen the Jam Nut with a 1/2" wrench, holding the set screw so it does not turn. Spin it back about halfway off. There should be a lockwasher under it. Now turn the Set Screw in half a turn at a time to raise the pressure. Turn it a half turn, check the pressure....repeat as necessary. Once its set, hold the Set Screw, and tighten the Jam Nut. Put the Acorn Nut back on and snug it, and you are done.
