Just got a joystick from EBAY and didn't ask all the right questions first.

Joystick says Curtis sno-pro 3000 on top but it is a 6 pin connection.

My control pad is a 7 pin connection.

If I plug in the joystick the plow (obviously) does not function properly but it does move, just not in the requested direction.

Did I buy a paperweight or can it be adapted ????

Thanks in advance for any help !!

Are the connectors lined up correctly? I had taken my connectors apart for better cleaning and when I installed them I put them in upside down and they gave me the same problem. I think that there is an extra pin connector. Take a look at the old joy stick is it set up the same? Sometimes when the joy sticks are junk they'll move in directions you don't want them to go as well.

Thanks for your input. You can sure tell plow season is ramping down. Not to many folks here that often.

I called Curtis today and they said the same thing as you. Make sure all the contacts are clean and lined up. The extra connector is for the light on the control pad. 6 pin should work same as 7 pin.

Took it apart this afternoon and cleaned everything as best I could. Put it back together but haven't tested it yet. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again for your input !!!

I have the control pad, no toggles. 7 Of what could be 9 used.

I just got my plow new last year but it was at the dealer about 2 years before I bought it.

1st do you have the nine prong harness, 1/2 of wich hangs from under the dash. the other 1/2 connected to your controls. If so black is 12v +,blue langle left, white angle right, red is lift, green is float, brown pump solenoid. orange ground. If you want Email me with your fax and I'll send you all of the electrical schematics. Remember mine is 2001 and they did'nt offer a touch pad then. thanks Murph

When I got my 3000 (private) it had the toggle's and I just ordered a new joystick and it was a plug in and play. Can't remember what #'s of pins..
I usually only read the instructions if I do something and it doesn't work...

u know..I'm not asking for directions we still have fuel
