Guys - I need help on this one!

The connection from the solenoid to the E47 motor is bad at the post on the e47. In trying to fix this problem, I've torqued the post right off. I now have no way to connect power.

I need to replace the post from inside the motor. What trouble am I getting in to if I remove the two long bolts on top of the motor and remove the whole motor from the base? Will tiny spring-loaded parts go flying when I remove the motor? Is it possible to get at the post and replace by removing the motor?

Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks, Al

Oh goodied......Yes spring loaded parts will come out but they can be put back in. You can modifty a bolt and solder the leads to it to fix your stud problem or buy a brush kit for about $15.00 to solve the problem. Use care when putting it back together.

So, it shouldn't be a big deal to figure how the springs and parts go back in? Do I need to drain fluid too?

Piece of heavy cardboard or metal to hold brushes in place, no you don't have to drain the oil.

Go to the Meyer site and d/l the manual. They have 2 kinds of motors for that plow. In the manual it shows how to make a little tool to help you hold the brushes in the motor while you assemble it.

I purchased the manual from a dealer before the internet. Book was worth the money.

There is the link. Easy as cut and paste! I have found that if the motor is falling apart a new motor is not a bad thing to purchase. All the problems go away with the new motor.

I am rebuilding an E47 now as having extras is not a bad thing to have.
