I am doing some planning and plotting and I would like some first year field feedback from you guys that are running these blades this year.

I know Rocket and nsmilligan bought these blades this year and I believe I saw a few other guys with these...

Any first hand experiences with these new blades would be greatly appreciated...

I love my 9.5, it plows great, snow rolls off of it awsome. It scrapes much better than the EZV style. It hydrolics are very quick. I have had problems with the new fish stick but my dealer is great and has handled it. Overall its a great plow.

Jay, DD is changing out the controllers because of wires breaking right at the Fishtick. Seems to be some issues with wings not holding when backdragging as well, although this might just be pressure relief needing to be adjusted. Sounds like there is a 3/8" scraper edge that is being worn down in a heartbeat as well, but the 1/2" is doing better. That info is from the dark side users.

Other than that, they're happy with them.

Between the Tornado and the Fishstick problem, sounds like DD is severely lacking in the real world testing department.

I was planning on a joystick control setup with a custom mount if I went with this particular setup. I have a handheld on a Western and I do like the handhelds but with the way this truck is setup I could have a really nice mounting pad right next to my arm rest for a joystick. Hopefully the joystick setups are having a bit better luck...

Its still a toss up which blade I am going to go with on this truck but right now an 810 and a 8.6' Xtreme V are my top two choices...

I'm new to this site but looks pretty good with a lot of knowledgeable people.I too just bought a new Xtreme V plow, that is replacing my 12 year old western, so I'm also interested in what others have to say.A good friend of mine bought one a year ago and said it was the only way to go if I was ever going to replace mine.

I just got the sister MVP+ and absolutely love it!!! Im think of replacing my only straight blade with one next year, maybe the 9.5. The hydrulics are so much faster, and the attack angle is awesome at scraping. JMO.

I love it, I love it, I love it. Scrapes great. Picks up snow great. Fast. I can back blade –without the backblade attachment– and get a better scrape than with any of the other blades I use. Lights are great. It really gives us the flexability we need in lots and other tight places. I plan on purchasing another one.

The only issues I have seen are the wings do not move at the same rate when putting it in V mode. This may be an issue of adjustment rather than hardware. The second has to do with the new FishStick. The cord is much longer than older models and we have to wrap it around the steering column to keep it from getting under foot.

Mine has over a 100 hours on it now, still have original edges, but they are getting close to the limit for wear. Zero problems with the plow.
A big improvement over the EZ-V for backdragging and scraping.
Hydraulics are almost too fast sometimes.
Fisher did their homework on this one.
