On my 88 I have a 7.5ft Diamond blade which is really heavy for the front end,the bars have been cranked and their is Timbrens on the front. I still need to get ballast for the rear of which I am thinking of some kind of Hitch mount bumper, plus some weight in the bed too.

My question is.... My dad has a 8.5ft Meyers sitting in Pa that was converted fomr a 7.5ft blade. The blade sits lower then the Diamond and it is not has heavy as the Diamond. Is it possible to cut and weld plates on the push beam and make it mount like a Meyers? or Any way to change the A-frame and make it mount like a Diamond?

Would not be asking but the blade is 600 miles away at the moment and won't have it till spring, I don't need it now since I only do the driveway, but next and amd thinking of getting a few places to do.

I don't think I will have any problems with a 8.5ft hanging off the front, I am swapping the 4.3 out to a 350 we have sitting here,so I will have the power. If it seems to big I will just cut off the 6" that was add to each side and make them removable wings.

Thanks
Jeff.

Yes with a little bit of cutting and welding it certaily can be done. I've done several mods over the years, most recently converted an EZ mount A frame over to a MDII mount, took a few hours and it works like a charm.

I've also taken a Diamond blade and made it fit a Fisher Minute Mount, now thats a head turner! lol It works great! better attack angle on the Diamond and just a tad bit lighter than the Fisher.

I would recommend that you just remove the Meyers attachment Ears and copy the Diamond attachment brackets and weld them onto the Meyers A frame. I would not canabolize the Diamond unless its in tough shape, you never know if you want to use it again or sell it.

Good Luck

I was planning on just coping the Diamond on to the Meyers, With that I would always have the Diamond blade as a back up if something would happen to the Meyers blade.
