My bet is that this is a scam to seperate you from your money. There is no way I'd get involved in it.

Scam central. Notice the mis-spelled words, the mis-written language. The "cash only" deal. Not for me. I'll bet the other bidders got the same info. Interesting to see if any body gets bit.

Everything about that reminds me of a Nigerian deal for money laundering.

Absolutly NEVER pay for anything on Ebay or anywhere else on the web by wire transfer unless you personally know the person!!!!! If the person will not accept any other type of payment, IT IS A SCAM!!

Your money will be gone PERMANATLY and if you do not receive the promised item, you will have NO recourse!!

If I am not mistaken, western union money orders are not insured and if you send someone money through western union, all of the responsibility falls on you. So if a seller says "western union only" you can be sure that if they dont send the product, you will be out the money and there is nothing you can do about it. I would never buy something for that much money and have it not be a secure transaction. People that try to scam others like that should be thrown in jail and sprayed with a fire hose on a daily basis.

No way would I use the third party deal.

I would also report the third party guy to ebay it is against there rules.

Also anybody who purchase's things on ebay email me and i will give you some information on how to win almost all the auctions you bid in.

This is no gimick.I own an old corvette and purchase alot of parts off ebay practicly everything on bid on I win

Notify Ebay about this. They usually want to be made aware of such scams. Obviously an amazingly stupid con artist, unfortunately, there are stupid people who will fall for it. Also, maybe we all should add that email address he gave you to every mailing list we can find. After about 10000 spams, at least he will have to use a different email address.

Use caution. The guy seems to have issues with typing his reply clearly first of all. And second of all I have lately only been buying/selling with paypal since there is tons of shady business occuring with Money orders and wires on Ebay. As far as 20 hrs and UPS DING DING DING buzzer just went off SCAM written all over it.

He has a "white mini-excavator" "in a sealed box"? What kind of mini excavator is it, no brand name, just white? Why is he going to sell a brand new mini excavator for $2200 unless we are talking about some kind of dicast model or something???
Just some weird things I picked out.

I would let E-Bay know! The person has to be a member of E-BAY to get your address! Did you bid on this? E-BAY will love to hear from you!

For sure notify Ebay. That sounds very familiar to the scams that have been going on. Make sure when you tell ebay to include that email address. Maybe then, they can associate a member name with the email address, and possibly an IP address. I would never do as that person told you too. Some peoples kids.....I tell ya!.... and also I agree with the ups deal. The weight and time issues sound very farse. And as ih8toplow noted, it is against the ebay policey....

You know my dad sends me more links to ebay auctions and fowards email to me from people who contact him.

I love my dad and would give my arms for him

But he is always looking for the bigger and better deal and his greed always seems to override his sence of intelagence.

And just so you know statistics show 2 out of 1000 people are scammed dailey.it probaley only takes this guy 2 hours a day to send out 2000 emails and statisticly he will have 4 suckers.

Re-read the email is it descriptive of the product in any way ?or just a generic email he could send out to any ebayer who has bid on a product

I sent this back to the guy:

I'd be a fool to pass this up IF it was on the up and up. Let me get this
straight. You want to sell me a brand new "White Mini Excavator" for only
$2200.00 (Twenty Two Hundred). You're also saying that UPS will ship this.
HOW can they ship something that weighs 2800 lbs?

You also want me to wire a complete stranger in another state cash money and
expect me to just sit here and HOPE you are not scaming me and the item will
show up.

I want to belive you but frankly, I feel you are not on the level. Prove me
wrong. Also, send me a list of your satisfied customers. Bill

They mailed me back with this answer:

hy.i can`t opened the box sir please understand me.
if you want i will give you a few email of my coustumers sir:

owndeal@yahoo.com,bussinesstrust@yahoo.com,ebaydep artament@yahoo.com,
roby33@kashan.com.
thank you.
please replay.

I mailed him back with:

Open the box, show me pictures of the box, the numbers, the equipment, your
ID. Bill

I've not heard back yet.
 :huh

I also did notify EBay.

You know a quick test I do on all of my dads SUPER DEALS is to contact the seller and explain I have thousands of free frequent flyer miles when can I come to inspect the product? And I will pay them on the spot.

I have never had one schedule an inspection with me.

These type of sales are not covered under ebays buying protection programs and are againest ebay rules. It's a scam.
