Dunno if it's been already discussed but, I was thinking of changing the air in my tires to winter air. Are there any benefits to keeping the factory air over the swap to seasonal air? I also have fears now, since the factory air is from the Mexican Salito assembly plant and Mr. Bush's INS reform may require me to obtain a green card for each wheel and the spare as well. This could get complicated!:(

Wouldn't the air be covered by NAFTA ?????? :D :D :D

I'd probably bottle the factory air and hang on to it so you can put it back when you go to trade it in,this should keep the resale value up.Let me know if you need any "New YorK" winter air,i think i still have some down in the shop, pretty good stuff, have'nt had any real problems with it yet:)
BTW-Good topic:D It had better snow soon or were all gonna meet up in a rubber room with straight jackets for our own saftey:headwall

Oh Great, now im confused. I was planning on going over to the garage tomorrow to put some air in a tire thats low but i dont know when the compressor last ran and cant remember what air i have in my tire. So what do i do now? Can i mix airs? If i mix airs, will this affect my traction? Arc burn, if i put New York air in my tires will they sound like they have an accent?

With the new laws our president wants your tires will be able to go back to Mexico with full social security after a year and participate in a 401K . While they retire in Mexico each tire will be mailed its monthly SS check. Keep the air !

I'm due for a set of new tires and am considering the Bridgestone Rivos. Now I'd have a Jap tire likely requiring Jap air. But, then I do have a 12v compressor "made in Japan" so maybe the air goes through a conversion process in the compression cylinder and I'll be OK?

For you guys who dont like to mix airs, I got the answer for you. Find a nice air supply somewhere, maybe a gas station or an auto repair shop. Next, let the existing air out of ALL your tires, I like to just take out the valve core, speeds things up a bit. Reinstall valve core when tire is done hissing, and refill with the new air, and set to proper air pressure. Now they will all match. :D Mike ;)

I just changed mine this morning because it was 15 below last night. That dense air really helps with fuel mileage!

cpss,

You'll have to keep an eye on those tires now if it warms up.:)
If the temp goes up too far they could blow out due to the increase of pressure.
Kinda like if you fill your gas tank and then put your truck/car in a heated garage the gas tends to expand and pours out of the filler.:(

You guys want to be careful letting the foriegn air out of your tires. It's called "smuggling" and there's a law against it. Let the air notify INS and they'll get full citizenship rights. Also, it would be considered "altering original design" and could affect the tire warranty. Roger, your compressor should have the new air convertor system so you'll be ok. What you want to be most careful of, is air from countries that use the metric system. They tend to get confused. Just make sure the air released isn't given access to restricted military areas.
