I need to find an easier way to put a new rubber guide sleeve on the top of a E-47 pump, I tried putting a metal plate on top of it and hitting it with a malet, but i keep bending them:huh

The plastic sleeve on the inside of the top cap can be put in with a socket of the right size. Flip it over and use an extension in the hole from the inside to hit with a hammer This will drive it flush and then a smaller one to finish seating it.
You can do the same thing for the top seals.
