This is just an FYI. But, it is also a reminder to try and reduce file size (read bytes) when uploading pics here. You can see similar numbers above, but look at how much space difference there is.

So, I'm going to guess that asking you to increase the attachmment size limit to 85 or 90 k is out of the question at the moment??? LOL:zoom My camera at its lowest setting still ends up at 87.5k

There are a million programs out there that will reduce file size. Not only do you reduce the picture to under 600X600,but you need to increase the compression to reduce the file size.A normal 640X480 pic can be upwards of 80-90 kb.You can increase the jpeg compression and make that same file 20 kb or so with little or no decrease in clarity.

Any recommendations on which program to use? Preferably a free one. :grinz

I've been using powertoys and it works darn good. Gets pics down to about 45k on average, for a 640x480 picture with no noticeable decrease in quality. The other option is to uload them to another site and resize them there, forget the name of it though... Check Chris's post in this thread (http://www.letstalksnow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11239) for the link for the powertoys program.

i got tired of resizing and compressing because it doesn't always work when you take pics with the highest setting in a 7.1 mp camera. it takes too long to get it just right. I ended up opening a photobucket account for free and I can store any pics there, that i want to show in a post. and it can be fullsize. and doesn't take up space on chucks server.
