We got a MEYER C-8 plow used and had it customized to fit any skidsteer coupler. Then got the hoses customized to work on Bobcat, but i purchased adapters so i can run it on my CAT. I had CATERPILLAR install a regulator since the GPM on a CAT against what a MEYER blade would get from a truck run hydraulic is staggering! You just have to push the button real gently to keep the blade from snapping from right to left TOO quickly. The lot this blade will be doing is too small for a pusher. It is a hospital doctors parking lot with a tunnel attached, so it needs 24/7 attention. A pusher would not fit between parked cars easily. This blade can be used on our subs skidsteer units, so that makes it nice to swap out. Here are the pics! I should add that this was 2 days ago when it was 65 degrees and it is now below zero tonight!!Jon:eek:

Here are some close-up pics of the skid-plate.

Here are the stops i had welded on. The blade was hitting so hard from the pressure of the hydraulics (even with the regulator) that it was catching and getting stuck. Highlighted in red. Jon

Nice job!
Where was the regulator installed? You can get flow restrictors that will slow down the hydrualics, they go in line with the hoses.

You may want to add an inline relief valve,or an adjustable crossover relief/cushion valve in both cylinder lines,if im not mistaken most truck plows run around 1500-1800psi that cat is probably pushing out 2500psi + probably why you had a sticking problem.A cushion valve will take that whack out when it hits the stops.:D :DThe flow restrictors will work great to control the angleing speed as Pelican suggested, just be sure to get the type that has free flow one direction, and adjustable flow in the other:cool:

I've done something simmilar with my Kubota. Used a fisher 8' and a quick attach plate. Left the plow original, just added ears to the plate to pin it on. I wanted to be able to use the plow on the truck in case of a break down. Your're right, the hydraulics are alot faster than on a truck. Looks like a nice and clean install.

Looks great Bossfan did you do the fabrication yourself? Looks very beefy.

Looks like it came right from Cat.
 John........

No, cat320, i wish i could do such nice welding! I had it taken to a shop to be worked on. Pelican, the flow restrictors were installed at the top of the hydraulic hose. i had a special quick coupler that had a spot for a regulator. Capnkel, those stops i highlighted in red is what kranz equip. welded on to cushion the "left to right" swing. :D

I thought I might have seen them there, but the picture doesn't have much detail down low.
I think I'd move those up to the couplers where they'd be out of the slop and harm's way.

Jon when angling lower the throttle.
Guys next to my shop have the same problem with everyone of the 13 Bobcat?meyer skid loader plows, even with flow restictors.

We had the same thought as Bossfan. But we also wanted the box effect. So, my loader guy went to his friendly local Bobbcat dealer and this 8 ft snowplow with removeable wings is what he came up with. Less $$ than a pusher, and more versatile. Yet still capable of pushing a slug of snow.

Bossfan, I just learned the flow restrictors on my 550 are one way, in other words, if they are installed backwards, the desired restriction is not accomplished. You might try reversing them on your installation.
Also, mine are adjustable with a knob like a water valve. Can you close yours down any further?

I just welded up a small washer. Drilled a very tiny hole in it. VERY TINY, Like 2 ought (you can always go bigger in intravals to find the right speed).
Took the coupler off the hose, installed inline. Works great. Nice and easy angeling.

Bossfan, what did it cost you to get that mount fabricated if you don't mind me asking. I am curious because i've go a meyer 7"6" plow that I wanted to get mounted on my bobcat.
