I have never used a 4 wheeler to plow, and so i know nothing about plowing with them. I have had and rode them my whole life so I am very familiar with 4 wheelers. This maybe a dumb question, but I am thinking of buying a quad and plowing withit in the winter, and wanted to know if you can back drag with a quad plow? I was looking at one at my local dealership yesterday with a plow on it, and I though for strait shots and side walks this wouldn't be bad, but I run a JD2210 with a snow thrower like your kubota, plus I put my 5 ft drag blade on it as well so I can get close to the garage. and my thought was could you back drag from the garage to the road and then push it out of the way?

Any help will do:yellowv:

You would be better sticking with the 2210 with plow and blower. Its got power steering, and hydraulic lift. Plus get the snow way the heck out of the way. Plus you can get a really nice cab from curtis for it to stay nice and warm.

The short answer is no. Most quad plows aren't heavy enough for the down force required. I used to plow a couple of driveways with mine. The good thing is that I could drive on the grass and run along the garage door and push it away. I would stick with the JD unless you need to run a long ways in a hurry. When I get off of the quad and use the Kubota to blow snow it feels like I climbed on the back of a snail. I keep checking the throttle, to see if I'm in high gear, or the drive pedal is pushed all the way down. Nothing beats pushing snow on a sidewalk than running at 15 mph on a quad and 35-40mph between sites. If you have the quad, then the plow is not that much money to try it out. Otherwise keep the tractor.
