I found this plow listed for sale. They say it came from a 2004 GM 1500 and will fit 02-05 GM. I think the moldboard and maybe the headgear too are much older. I think only his push plates are 2004. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help. Are the MM2 mounts (as I am sure his 04 mounts are) completely reverse compatible with a MMI plow. I.e. does a MM1 plow fit and work properly on push plates made for a MM2?

It's the same. MM2 is just supposed to be easier to get on and off the truck. MM1 has 2 pins you need to pull out on either side of the truck. MM2 while it has 2 pins you do not need to go over to the other side to pull them out, you have a handle that pulls them out for you. Just a convenience factor or something to break on you.
That blade looks the same as your ebay find. Mine is a 96 but with a little less rust. Gets the job done and got it for a good price and if it craps out I have a back up one I can get for free.

That mold board could be a 97 . Fisher was sent a batch of out of spec steel and the powdercoat would not stick to the steel .
There really isnt much that would break with the MMII I wouldnt worry about that .

I don't know if they call it generations, but I would say thats a second generation MM 1. It has the insta-act pump instead of the SEHP? (western unimount style) pump, but it has the old mold board design. The newer minute mount 1's have a different center pivot and a-frame design. I would call them the third generation. Right after those came the mm2's.

It probably came off of an 04 that was out for the tail end of 03. The paint problem they had in 97 was a problem with the steel being treated and the paint just fell/flaked off rather than rusted off like the one in that picture. The rust is consistent with a plow that was never washed after use. Most of the rust is right where the majority of the roadspray gets whipped up by the front wheels.
