What is up with BUFFALO NY? WINTER???

So far this season I plowed 3 storms.
I've plowed the past 3 christmas days.
2 days after christmas it was 60 out.
Tonight/sat morning at 4:45 am it is 55 OUTSIDE!!!
WTF????????
NOW they predict 3" sat night.
Another 3" sunday
THIS IS BUFFALO NY!!!!
JANUARY!!! We are used to mesuring snow in FEET not INCHES.
-40 Temps not +60

I just dont get it....
Mother nature is playing a really bad joke on us!!!

Heck I really wanted to take up snowbording this year & we cant wait to go, but how the heck can we when only 6 out of 38 slopes are open?

We can't even make snow in Buffalo this year...

Ok so 2 yrs ago we had 7 FEET of snow, last year was one of the coldest on record & everyone was complaining.
Is it that hard for mother nature to grant us just one NORMAL winter?
Yeah, most of my contracts are flat rate seasonal, so I'm still bringing in the dough, but come on now.

This may be really hard for some to beleive but I actually witnessed someone MOWING THIER LAWN ON JANUARY 2rd IN TONAWANDA NY...
OK so it wasnt growing, Yet I still witnessed someone doing it.
This weather is truly making everyone CRAZY!!!!!!

I'm going crazy... Ok I was crazy before but I'm even more crazy now.

Sould I take my plow off & see what happens?
Naww can't do that, my plow works great at a deer guard.
Heck I've pushed more deer with my plow then snow...
Mabey Western sould market thier plows as super duty brush gurads... Cuz trust me they work REALLY well...



OK enough of my ranting....
Like I said this weather is making everyone more CRAZY then we allready are & for thoes of you who know me I'm pretty crazy to begin with...

I'm a bit confused also with the weather Got Grass. Last year i plowed almost everyday for a Month!, but only plowed 3 timed like you so far this year:( 57degrees here at 7 am.:headwall well looks like a little winter will be returning for us this week. What about that Millennium Weather guy, 90-100 inches for us??? ya right buddy. Sorry just had to vent , so maybe we will now get some snowplowing!

Now you know how Illinois has felt the past 2 years. I guess it is fair for everyone this year :)

I wish everyone had more snow, not wishing any bad on anyone.

Hey, it's so warm here, I'm running around outside wearing a T-shirt changing the truck's oil!! I even filled up the feeder for the long-gone birds that got fooled into flying south!
In northwest w Pa. thus far, I haven't even gotten snow on the mold board! Seems only the cutting edge gets wet and that's it! No money this season. Glad I didn't quit my day job as a wedding singer!

I think my forum "neighbors" will attest to our mild winter here as well. We've had a few lake effect squalls, but they melt soon afterwards and snowfall accumulations are sporadic here & there.

we've been just about snowless this year sofar too we got 3 events in usually we have 30 to 40 inches on the ground not green and wet... hopefully it'll turn around soon for the rest of the winter...

Still brining in $$$ with the seasional contracts so I wasnt complaining about the lack of snow. Just the crazy one day plowing next day 60 out... Spring/Fall weather.

Friday 63 degrees and foggy, local hardware store was still selling fertilizer. Today, 25 degrees and snowing. If you don't like the weather in Illinois, wait till tomorrow, it'll change!:)

OK now I'm really getting frustrated....
At least they got it somewhat right with the temps.

Sunday = no snow
Yet snow sun night.

OK so now it's sun night & I doubt this can even be concidered a dusting. I've seen more flakes in peoples hair.

Predicted freezing rain & drizzle, then light snow this Mon. morning & scattered snow showers in the afternoon.
1-2" Mon night
Scattered tues & tues night...


NOW just updated while making this post.

Monday, up to 2" possible
Mon night, lake effect over southern 1/2 of county. 1" or so here
Tuesday, lake effect 5-9" mainly south of city.
Tues night, lake effect likely
wed & wed night snow showers likely.

Just a LIGHT dusting here.
Southtowns got hit & the ski areas have 20" of new snow & are finnaly working on opening some slopes. I can't wait.

It's been dang cold tho. Lows arround 10 highs arround 20.
