Hi guys. I have a 2003 Honda Rincon 650 ATV 4x4 and am going to purchase a plow system to "de-snow" our dirt road and maybe some sidewalks in town. I was looking on E-Bay and found an American Eagle 50 inch "County" plow blade with quik mount kit, universal tube runners, and manual lift. First of all; although I see that the "County" blade is taller on one side than on the other, what is the benefit over a straight blade? This company also says the quik mount is a "no tools" invention that saves you ground clearance. Have any of you used this type of mount? I'm new to all of this, so please bear with my ignorance. :{)

I agree, that honda will push a bigger blade. The county blade is made for windrowing one way only, like doing long paths, sidewalks, and small roads I guess. If you plan on windrowing both ways, I would go with the straight blade. I have seen the state style plow windrow both ways, but it is much more effective leading the big end, hence the design. I have also heard that a urethane edge is a major improvement to these little plows, preventing major snags on drain covers and such. Plus if you are going to be plowing on a "dirt" road, the u-edge will benefit there as well. I have heard good things about Cycle Country brand plows for ATV's. And I also hear that the manual lift is preferred because of charging issues of the atv. Good luck, and I can't wait to see some pics of that rig. Thats a good looking machine.
