I work at a hobby shop in Ct just for fun mostly. But i have the tmaxx and the terra crusher. there both nitro but the terra crusher u can go full throttle forward and go right in to reverse. unlike the t-maxx u cave to stop and mess with the shift button. o and the terra crusher is two channel not 3. I also have a few planes and a r/c boat. I have a plow on my t-maxx i use it some times to do customers walkways. Only if its the lite fluffy snow. Im going to try to make a sander for the back that would be cool.
If u want a cheao and real good stadium truck get the Losi XXX-nt great truck fast and well priced.

Nice trucks. The t/maxx is a nice truck.
If you want to see a funny as heck site go to
www.beatyourtruck.com
Look for the jet pwered t maxx. I about spit my drink out when I watched that video.
Me and my son both have rc10gt nitro stadiun trucks. I thought about sponcering them through the business, but I think uncle sam might frown on that if they ever audit me.:D
We are into racing, a new track was built only 25 min from me, one of the biggest in the state.
The big thing now is the 1/8th scale buggies, man talk about loud, over powered, obnoxious racing.
Here are our trucks
this one is mine

No, 76 Chevyman said he worked in one too. I saw his profile says Norwalk, and thought I might know his shop. I know where yours is tho! lol:eek: I deliver from West Haven to Norwalk, then up as far as New Milford. If you guys see a little box truck that says "allied office supplies" on it, give me a wave!!:D :cash

Its called Al's hobbies they are big in planes and i just started getting the owner to get into cars and trucks. My friend and I was thinking about buying the shop from him considering he wants to retire. It may happen. There is a great shop in bridgeport. They are on the performance end of these engines though. Real into racing and drag racing. I do all the repairs to these cars and trucks if you guys need any help or info let me know.
Ill post a pic of my terra crusher jumping over my friends low flying plane that was a good pic and we didnt even plane on it. I have to get it from him though.

If you are new to the hobby and want a truck 4x4 look at the terra crusher. I have the t-maxx too wicth i totaly upgraded for racing, but right now i have a blown tranny. The terra crusher is a lot more user friendly bigger tires. and a better tranny thats gives you little to no trouble shifting from forward to reverse. and comes with tones of spare parts that the t-maxx doesnt. for a all around basher the terra crusher is great.Im not bashing the t-maxx but i get a lot of people complaining about the tranny do to people new to the hobby. and myself have had trouble with the tranny. but the terra crusher i havent.
any other info u care to know before u buy feel free to ask. I just dont want to see you spend 300-400 and not be happy with it.

Rich,
what so different about the "high end "$800 trucks are they worth it ?
76chevyman
01-02-2004, 04:21 PM
When you get that high in the pricing you have to think what you want it for. Just like when you go buy a plow truck what are your needs? Yes some of the high end trucks are great. The ofna's and some have three speeds in them which if its a off road truck you will never hit third. If its the on road trucks then yes you will be hitting third. But with trucks onroad you are doing close to 100MPH at lease a good 80mph and if its your first truck I can see it getting totaled.Again i live in a rich area in Ct and Rich daddys buy there sons the most exppencive things and they come back a week later saying the engine blew. Because they didnt break it in. Or leaned out the carb. Which the fuel is part of the cooling of the engine.
But if your looking for a fun truck to climb things with and off roading. The terra crusher or t-maxx is great and its like 400 and i have a plow on mine. Im in the process of making it lift and angle from my radio.

They will do an honest 100MPH ? Holy SH_ _ :D
What kind of numbers do the drag racing cars do ? do they sell dragsters?
76chevyman
01-02-2004, 05:02 PM
The on road cars and trucks can get that high yes. The dragsters im not to sure what they do because they are a little pricey. But im sure they can do that. They usally run a two speed sometimes a 3 speed. Any other info just ask

Just fallow the break in instrutions and you should be fine but during break in dont get ichy with the trigger the break in determines your truck life.
