Who's got the hot setup that will toss salt?

we have 4 or 5 scotts push spreaders and 3 larger lesco spreaders, and we hang old mud flaps on the sides to keep the salt from throwing too far. they work real good at the condos and commercials. we really only use them on sidewalks. we also use a quad with a new earthway speader for sidewalks as well.

I use a lesco rotary spreader. Stainless steel construction is a huge plus. I have the optional deflector that mounts on the right side to limit the amount of salt that gets spread. It works great. Large tires too.

Drop spreader might be better if you doing sidewalks?

Good idea mdb, about the mudflaps.

agrifab push spreaders are nice. Expect to pay at least $150 for one though. Anything cheaper than that is junk IMO.

Sears & Ro Baby! Believe it or not, most of our acounts do not require much in the way of salt but do need calcium for the walkways. A Sears hand spreader has been the best for our application. Crazy. We purchase salt & calcium by the tractor trailer load for resale. You would think that a tailgate spreader would be a key player. Not the case. Jake.
