Rear axle leak

Had rear end replaced in August 03 on my 89 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab.(excellent plow truck) Oct 03 the left rear axle seal and bearing were replaced. Left rear axle is now leaking again. Would anyone know if there is a problem with the axle or housing or did i get a bumb seal and bearing? Never had a problem like this with the old rear end.

sounds like whoever installed the bearing and seal last forgot to grease the seal before inserting the axle and it scuffed/wore itsself out prematurely.

It may have been damaged upon istallation,or the axle shaft may be worn.You'll have to pull it and find out.

Use good quality seals,a lot of the cheap parts store brands are garbage.

Who would you recommend? OEM, Napa?
