I was out cruising the malls for sales today - just at the end, I got nailed by a Thunderbird in the parking lot. I was driving an Accord (not mine! :rolleyes: ) along the outside road in the lot, when the 'Bird exited from one of the aisles without stopping.
She hit the front of the right rear wheel-well, crushing in part of the door and the frame (?) behind it. :headwall Total area of damage was about 9 inches across.
Insurance adjuster is coming on next Wednesday. From what I understand (this happened in MA), if she was at more than 50% fault (IMHO, she was), the insurance co. will cover it with no increase in rates. That would be nice :D
Anyways, just wanted to say 'be careful!' No matter how well you might drive, there will always be someone out there who isn't paying attention. Luckily, we were both going slow enough that there were no injuries. And yes, this was my first 'accident'. Hopefully it will be the last.
