Wyldman is the first to answer all technical questions - with not only the right answers, but also with enough detail to walk a monkey through the procedure, and your making him a Moderator!!!:rockon
Alright, I agree, but come-on, tell us your secret Chris, how do you have time to do all this!!!!!:D

I make sure i try to find the time.
Most of my day at the shop is spent at my desk, talking to customers, and running the shop.I have 2 computers at my desk,so i try to get on when ever i can. It's a little harder in the evening,as the wife and 5 kids are always keeping me busy.I love helping people out with technical stuff, keeps my brain healthy.
As long as you guys are good, then I'll still have lots of time to write all those technical posts. :D
I'll have to start a keyboard fund though,as i've gone through 2 keyboards in just the past few months.Laptop keyboards aren't cheap. :cash

Hey Wyldman- Congrats on making Mod!!! Looking forward to doing what I can to help out anyone with Chevy questions.
Just getting in from a night of trees and wires down- still pretty windy here, not too much snow, but defintitely kinda icy up north here!
Bill
BTW- it was two different fusible links on my blazer- one by the started melted out( too close to the manifold) and the one by the battery connecting block on the fire wall was corroded- had 12v at the fuse block, but not enough amps to run anything. Replaced them both, and I'm back in business!!! Just in time for it to stop snowing!! LOL!!
Congrats Wyldman, it is great to have excellent mechanical knowledge to help us all out.:burnout

Bill - Glad you got the truck fixed,i had a feeling it was a fusible link(s).
Fred - Thanks,it would be great to have you helping out here, you always have.Everybody should be helping out if they can, that's what it's all about. :D If your doing it from the laptop, watch out for the keyboards (see my earlier post),the are $350 a pop !

If i were you wildman i'd look on the back of the laptop most can plug in an external keyboard... there alot cheaper at $10 - $30 a pop... a little less convienent to carry around but hey at $350 s pop it might just be worth it...

I have an external keyboard and mouse for when i'm docked for long periods.
Problem is with the external keyboards is carrying them around.I'm always on the go,in the office, shop, truck, home, etc.
I use the laptop as it has everything on it,and never have to worry about not having what i need wherever I am.I never had this problem with my Dell. :(

That sucks... Sounds like its time for another Dell. The Acer laptop that i have seems to work rather well asfar as the keyboard goes. I kinda figured it would be to inconvienent to carry a keyboard with ya. One other option would be to get one of those voice recognition programs and a microphone... then ya wouldnt have to type much of anything...

I would not go back to another Dell. They are too big,too clunky, and to heavy. The feel very cheap too.The IBM just blows it out of the water. Not that the dell is that bad, just my experience.
The IBM has everything i wanted,in a small compact and lightweight package. It's a Pentium-M 1.6,1 GB of ram,so it just flys. :D The tactile feel of the IBM keyboard is light years ahead of any other laptop I have tried\owned,and even most destop keyboards.I love it,just wish it would last longer.I have a warranty rep looking into it,but I couldn't afford the downtime so I just bought a the new keyboards. If it's found to be a mfg defect, they will hopefully reimburse me.
