I have a meyer TMP-6.5 and I am looking at purchasing a new cutting edge for the upcoming plowing season.
I have heard great things about urethane cutting edges, but I cant seem to find anywhere that sells one for my particular plow. Anyone else have any suggestions as to where I can go, and how much (ballpark) I would be looking at spending?
Also, is the urethane worth the extra cost over the steel?
Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get a u-edge from any supplier. You may have to drill to match the bolt pattern on your plow.Drilling it is easy, all you need is a spade bit.
Check the dealers\suppliers forum for more info on various urethane suppliers.

Youre actually just the guy I wanted to answer my post.
Are the urethane edges that much better than steel?
How much $$ are we talking for one of these u-edges?
Does no one make a direct bolt on u-edge for my plow?
So many questions. :headwall

The urethane will last longer,it is quieter, does less damage to the surface, and protects the truck\plow from impacts. It is also a great squeegee.
The only drawbacks that I (and others) have found is it does not scrape hardpack very well.Nothing does really, but at least with a steel edge, you can get some of it up if you can get underneath it.Plowing with the storm, and good de-icing strategies will help prevent hardpack in the first place.
One other thing you may get when the edge is new,and occasionally under certain conditons is chatter. It usually goes away after the edge breaks in.
I (and most other dealers) can have the edge predrilled for you if you wish.I should have the bolt pattern,if not it's easy to measure it.It is so easy to drill, most edges are just sold blank. When you remove your steel edge, lay it on top of the u-edges,and mark the holes.Use a regular wood spade bit,and drill it.This way,you get a exact match. You can also set the amount of overhang based on your particular blade.
Prices for most 6.5' edges are around $250.
I would recommend searching these forums for some feedback from guys who have used them,to help you make your decision.

Thanks Chris. I'll have to do some forum searching, but it looks like I may have to hit up my local dealer. Thanks again for all of your help.
